The Linic Mitre Box Mammoth is a useful piece of kit. The fact that it is adjustable is helpful especially for polymer coving (which is a bit more flimsy than plaster coving), to keep the coving in place and to achieve a neat cut. The larger size of box allows also to cut taller pieces of coving, and to exactly simulate the position in which the coving will be attached to the wall and ceiling (which is essential to cut the right angle, so that the corners do actually connect). Some reviews mention that the item is a bit flimsy and moves on a table when one does the sawing. However, most mitre boxes do that. A trick to prevent this, is to adjust the box on the workbench, either using pliers or between the movable pegs of the workbench. I got stability and a clean cut in this way, and ... The Linic Mitre Box Mammoth is a useful piece of kit. Mainstream shops did not have the adjustable mitre box, and the same product was only available in specialised coving shops, for a higher price.

Does the job but not as well as it would if production quality improved.
It does an adequate job but the quality lets it down. It needs more rigidity and though identified on the packaging, moulded identifying the Ceiling & Wall planes on the product itself would be a good idea.

What an absolute waste of money! Item looks the business until you come to use it! The saw chews into the plastic because it's so flimsy it's moving when sawing!! How anyone can make and sell such an item with a clear conscience I will never know! Dont waste your money.
