I did not like this book because it takes a very weak, and therefore unsubstantiated, 'POV' (Point of View) and presents this view as being substantially stronger than it is. After reading it I beleive the author would have interpreted the evidence to support his POV no matter what the evidence was (i.e. when they do have evidence then it supports his POV and when they don't have the evidence they assume it was there but lost). It reminded me of the new (un)scientific evidence that Mars was once inundated with water. This is being talked about as almost a surety without ever having found the first molecule of H2O on this planet. The evidence is purely conjecture based on circumstantial evidence of the terrain, which they say is shaped the way it is because it had to have been under enormous amounts of water. It is OK to have this POV (about Mars) but it is not OK to talk about it like it is more than guessing and conjecture based on circumstantial evidence that could also be explained other ways. I am sure the author of 'Who Wrote The Bible' thinks he has actually presented strong evidence for his POV but he should be more objective and realize his emotional bias does not really allow him the assurance he has in presenting his argument. The evidence can be interpreted several different ways and this author pretends the evidence favors his POV much more than it actually does. It also ignores (by not mentioning them) other possible interpretations of the same evidence. Furthermore, the fact that other people share his POV doesn't give any more weight to the evidence. Anyone reading this might wonder why I bothered purchasing it and reading it. My dad had read it and wanted me to read it and provide him my critique, which I haven't yet because I want to recover from my own negative reaction so I can provide a more objective critique for him. I do not recommend this book to anyone, unless you are in a Peruvian prison and it is the only thing available.Read full review
