Somewhere along the chain of shipping the unit it sustained a gouge on the exterior. Opening the top, noticed a crack in the protective styrofoam. The top of the unit front had a small dent in the wood; not bad enough however to be unacceptable. The unit performs fine at all settings. I hope the hard knock to it does not shorten the service life of the product.
