Remote works well, only run at lowest speed which is ample. Only small issue was length of power cable, as a wall mount fan when hung at reasonable height, 2m floor to top of unit, the plug couldn't reach sockets. I had to cut cable to go through a wall to a higher socket which is not major issue but not ideal.
