NOT FOR BEGINNERS! BUT A REALLY GREAT BOOK!!!

Book is very detailed, With pictures and illustrations to figure out what type of minerals or gemstone you might have the book does help you figure that out. Also it does give you a generic price for different quality of mineral or gemstone if you might be working on. This is the third edition I am not sure if number one and number two are better to help you understand number three I will be purchasing both of those to see if it makes it easier for me. Again the book is great. If you want to learn more and if you know a little about lapidary work geology this is a great book for that.
