    This doesnt seem to fit any of the USGI cups that I have, but the packaging says it fits Rothco's GI type of cup. Guessing there are some differences in tolerances from a real cup, IDK. The material used is good, just doesnt fit USGI equipment. Made in China. Says combat tested since 1953.....doubtful.

    Shipped/Received quickly. If anyone is interested I tried this lid on several different models of canteen cups I have. Fit USGI stainless canteen cup with the rolled edge. Didnt fit the older stamped aluminum USGI cup with the beveled beaded edge. Fit aftermarket stainless canteen cup/canteen combo from amazon but lid was slightly larger. Will work with zero issues though. Highly recommend vendor for shipping and price. Outstanding !!

      Canteen Cup Lid is very good overall and I am very happy with the purchase.

      the lid I received is very good, it is crimped a little too much, but with an adjustment from a pair of plyers it fits just fine and the sill is great. It is a heavy duty lid but fits well between the canteen cup and the carrier in a vertical position.

      Dont fit

      Pretty good steel and you need one for your canteen cup but, they dont fit the USGI canteen cup. I hear they fit the Rothco GI STYLE canteen cup. You may want to look into buy a GI STYLE cup. I took a pair of pliers and bent the lip on the lid just enough for it to set on the cup but it wont click/seal on the cup to keep contents from spilling. The only other lid I know of is a polymer or rubber lid and I hear they are very expensive so, for the dollar, these arent bad.

      Take the good with the bad

      I was excited to order this because the price was good, however, it did not fit my canteen cup very well. Quality is nice (heavy gauged metal), but I had to take some pliers and manipulate the lid for a better fit. Still does not fit perfectly, however it will get the job done. A decent buy, just have some pliers and muscle ready when you revive the lid to enhance the lids fit to the cup. I had no issues with the seller and shipping was timely.

      Stainless steel G.I. canteen lid

      It's a nice, heavy duty, medium gauge stainless steel lid that fits well on the Rothco stainless steel canteen cup. The fit is nice and snug. it does not fit the aluminium GI issue canteen cup.

      Makes a difference

      This cover makes a big difference in boiling water using canteen cup and pack stoves. It is sturdy and has one moving part. I own a few with no issues. It is light weight and slender for easy, no hassle carry.
