    Rubber isolation joint - Another great use

    I have a different use than the intended concrete isolation strip. I use is as a base for my O-Scale model railroad track. It has three benefits. First, it looks like gravel roadbed. When lay the tracks down and add lightweight cat litter, it looks quite lifelike. Second, it provides a smooth sub-surface. And third, the best benefit, it muffles the sound from these large trains. I have suggested it to some of friends who agree that this us a great product. I will be buying more. Thanks, Bill

    Great in a "pinch"

    As I continually add slabs of concrete to my driveway, and I use this material every time. Concrete should not go more than say, 20' without an expansion joint. This material compresses when the concrete expands and expands when the concrete shrinks. I see a lot of people don't use this material but I also see a lot of spalled (cracked and/or chipped) concrete. Sometimes when concrete expands with no expansion material, the slabs buckle and one or both rise. This material does the job and I'm satisfied with it. It's well worth the money.

    Needed

    My 130 foot concrete driveway buckled upward because it lacked EXPANSION joints. With this expansion joint material I am confident that won't happen to the new driveway.
