  • Book 2 in The Night's Dawn Trilogy

    Continuing where The Reality Dysfunction left off. We find that the possessed have spread out from Lahore across the Confederation. Book two in the Night's Dawn Trilogy continues this huge Space Opera story that covers the lives of many different people on different plants who's lives are being changed by the discovery of a block of data from a long lost civilization that no one is sure happened to them. Peter F. Hamilton is perhaps one of the best authors I have found who writes these sweeping stores that seem to work out in the end and make a lot of sense. Once again If you can handle the 1100+ pages this book offers it is a very good read. But keep in mind this is only book 2 in the Trilogy and if you have not read the first book then you MUST not read this one, it will only confuse ...

  • One of the best series

    Preface: I'm terrible at writing reviews! If you want to read this book you have to pick up the three prior books to understand what's going on. They are: Reality Dysfunction- Emergence, Reality dysfunction- Expansion and The Neutronium Alchemist- Consolodation. All in all there are 6 books total. The books are obviously sci fi, but with a small difference. They are all termed a "space opera" mainly due to the multiple plot lines and huge cast of characters. It's the first book I've actually written little notes for just to keep everything straight. The first book starts a little slow (ok a lot slow) but once you get past the character setup all heck starts to break loose and you get into the real nitty gritty. After you get going you can't put it down, and I'm not even that heavy ...
