    An Interesting Story NOT Based on the Movie

    The 2006 paperback edition of Cowboys and Aliens by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foly is more like an extended comic book than a graphic novel, which might have inspired the movie not vice versa...Let me explain again, this story is NOT based on the Daniel Craig - Harrison Ford movie Cowboys and Aliens, but a totally different story with different characters. If you are looking for the story inspired from the movie, get Cowboys and Aliens by Joan D. Vinge, which is the novelization of the movie. And the story couldn't be simpler - Zeke and Miss Verity, a couple of mercenary cowboys confronting the aliens invaders with the help of native Indian Apache warriors and an unlikely band of settlers on their way to their promised land.
