    Works better than expected for old technology

    VCR works great except the remote does not work for this Panasonic vcr. The remote is for Sony tv according to remote model number. Our old Panasonic vcr remote works fine with this vcr otherwise would have returned everything

    If all you need is a VCR to transfer to few tapes to digital media, it'll get the job done.

    It worked good enough for the intended purpose. It is a VERY low end machine. I was shocked to find that it is monaural, NOT stereo!!! Yet, it has the VCR+ recording feature. Go figure... When zipping to find what you are looking for, it does not show you where you are in terms of video image the way every other VCR I've ever owned did. It also has no counter or time display. If you've got several tapes to convert, or even want to just watch a bunch of old tapes you have, I'd recommend going with a higher end model. It did what I needed to do, so that's OK.

    Good value for the money

    Very basic, functional player. Good value for the money- appears to be exactly what I needed to transfer an old home movies collection to digital. Worth noting, at least in my case- the old tapes, which had been stored in a hot attic for many years- shed a lot of oxide, requiring frequent running of tape head cleaner cartridge for best picture quality. Other than that, great unit!
