Long Live Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow!
This is a stunning DVD. The concert was recorded in 1977. Ritchie Blackmore's improvisational abilities were amazing! It starts with the break-neck 'Kill The King'. Then there's slower and beatiful 'Catch The Rainbow' & 'Mistreated', the anthemic 'Long Live Rock 'n' Roll'. The riffed up '16th Century Greensleeves' & 'Man On The Silver Mountain', in which Ronnie James Dio(RIP) shows his vocal prowes again, extended 'Still I'm Sad' with solos, drums(the late, much missed Cozy Powell), keyboards(David Stone) and guitar - the man in black! There's extended riffing, soloing improvisation and all round awesomeness from Ritchie Blackmore through out this concert. It finishes with Blackmore's glorious guitar smashing during 'Do You Close Your Eyes'. The bonus features are very good! There's 3 ... This is a stunning DVD. The concert was recorded in 1977.
