    Brilliant Film!

    This is my favourite film, first watched in the '70s. Sarah Miles and Robert Mitchum are excellent in their roles and John Mills is fantastic in the part of the village idiot in spite of the fact that he had no lines to learn! The theme music and the breathtaking Irish scenery are a perfect background to this romantic story. Ireland is such a beautiful country and I cannot think how anyone watching this film would not want to visit it. I am one of the lucky ones - I now live there!

    Film was split over 2 discs not one. This is a pain switching over half way through. But good quality makes it worth keeping.

    Great film highly recommended

    Despite ot release many years ago this film still hits a lot of cinema high spots. The cinematography is wonderful playing a large part in the films enjoyment Recommended but remember it’s over 3 hours long so make sure you have the time to enjoy it fully.
