As I keep on prepping for #HurricaneSeason2019 I was searching for a device so that I could make sandwiches on a fire or propane stove & BBQ. I remember using an item like this when I was a child in early 70s and also own a flimsy one in the 90s. This is a very sturdy made device so I’m guessing I will get many years of use out of it! Already tested it out in my kitchen’s propane LP stove. Sandwich came out perfect and cleanup was simply #WipeItDown

Does the job of toasting a sandwich easily and quicky. The only problem is that it is hard to assemble once you take it apart to clean it. Trying to put it back together is a frustrating, and swear producing effort. Otherwise I like the product.

Pros: It is simple to use and easy to clean. It won't rust. You do not have to put oil on the surface. Overall that part is the best thing going for it. Cons: *I have found in making a toasted tuna fish sandwich with cheese, the cheese and tuna rolls out and the sandwich is flat. The sandwich is 2 super thin pieces of bread surrounded by filling . If I toast the bread first and then put on the cheese and tuna and then cheese and toast and heat it up, it seems to work a bit better, but it still leaks out. *I made toasted cheese sandwiches. "fail". I have done this several times with plain bread and buttered the outside. To get the bread to toast, you have to get the piece hot enough that the cheese runs out and gurgles around the inside of the pan and between the bread and the pan edge. Again, the bread is super thin with all the stuff running out of it. I may toast the bread first and then add cheese and try heating to see if this works better. Would I purchase this again? 50/50, 60/40 no. I have yet to agree that it is as amazing as it claims to be. I have only done a few things with it.Read full review
