    This was purchased to crack hazelnuts because I own 180 trees so it's extremely time consuming to harvest my huge bounty this year! It is a very simple design and very well made and bigger than I had imagined. It cracks the nuts easily once you have mastered your individual technique! Patience... A metal wheel turned by a handle cracks the nuts in a chute but you need to determine the aperture otherwise nothing happens. Set to crack big first, small ones go through that sorts them to go again

    Item very robust and looks well made. Because nuts are different sizes there's a need to alter the size adjustment mechanism regularly. Part cracked nuts needed finishing using the traditional method by hand. Overall if you've lots of nuts to shell then this machine requires less force than traditional handle squeezing.
