    Cute, Simplistic Fluff

    A brief whimsical stroll through childhood adventures. Disney’s Winnie the Pooh (2011) is a gently serene return to The Hundred Acre Woods with Winnie the Pooh and his stuffed animal friends as well as his human boy pal Christopher Robin. Stephen J. Anderson and Don Hall’s direction is sweet and tender with a kindly nostalgic look back at fun times with Pooh Bear and his fuzzy pals. Lisa Linder’s soft editing gives us an awesome 63 minute run-time, so that Winnie the Pooh never overstays his welcome. Her few cuts leaves us with a nicely lethargic, Summer afternoon pace and Fall vibe. Julio Macat’s cinematography has every character in a cute wide or medium shot at all times, so kids can constantly see all the characters’ soft bodies and cute designs. Henry Jackson’s cute score is lovely ...
