The show was unusual in that it was broadcast irregularly, but each episode was either 90 or 120 minutes long, a length more common to films than to a television series. Each episode opens with a murder, followed by Columbo's investigation, and finally his revelation of how he put the events together. This collection of episodes covers the entire fourth season.
