I bought these mainly to use in my cordless landline phone so I can have one pair on charge whilst using the other pair. They don't last quite as long as regular batteries which is the same as other makes of rechargeable batteries but where these win against others is that they don't lose their charge when not in use. All too often I have replaced rechargeable batteries for another set only to find they have lost a fair amount of charge whilst sitting idle which kind of defeats the object. Since using these I have also bought some AA batteries for other electrical items because the AAA were so good.

The most important thing about a rechargeable battery is "How well will it be working in 2 or 3 years time?". You can't take them apart to see how well they've been made, so the ONLY way you can tell is to use them FOR A FEW YEARS. By then, 1) the manufacturer will have changed the design so your review will be not be relevant to products currently on sale and 2) Ebay won't let you review a product that you bought so long ago. Duracell is a respected manufacturer with a reputation for quality. The batteries haven't given any signs of problems (in a cordless phone handset) so I would almost certainly buy them again. I can't say anything more helpful than that, and neither can anyone else. The only useful review of a rechargeable battery is a bad one; if they get a bad review after only a month or two, avoid them like the plague !!!Read full review

I use two of these batteries in my Panasonic portable phone after the original batteries kept fading, approx 4 years old. the difference is amazing, I almost forget to put the phone on charge! I would say rhat the duration has increased by 75% and I use my phone a lot!! so instead of twice a week charging on the base unit, its once, great convenience at a fraction of the priced, I would imagine for cameras etc a distinct advantage, so well recommended. If their is an AA version I shall get them too!!

These rechargeable batteries were for replacement of cordless phone ones. On the assumption that these are needed to reliably last 3-4 years, why would you choose cheap ones for say £8, when these are £14. At less than a fiver a year you may as well go for 'a PROPER brand' that you expect to be good quality, especially for phones, that might be your only way of communicating with the outside world, especially if you are elderly!
