    Quality at a good price.

    Bought to replace ageing Bosch hammer drill, Bosch been great, bit lacking in power though for certain tasks, like hard brick. The dewalt is smaller, lighter and more powerful. The high torque produced is noticeable when drilling which is a good sign of the power available. Slowly switching all my tools to cordless as much more convenient. No more raffling about untangling wires, finding a socket, then an extension lead. I settled on dewalt as the brand as well priced for the quality on offer. I have a bought a separate 5ah battery for the heavy jobs and use a spare 2ah battery from my impact driver for lighter jobs, very handy drill with that lighter battery attached. Paid a fiver more than the cheapest on eBay for the t-stack case.

    Fantastic bit of kit.

    Excellent bit of kit. We have a number of dewalt drill drivers. This item with one of our 2A batteries fitted has the power of a mains drill. Very impressed and we will be buying another. 5 stars!

    Great drill

    I do a lot of diy and already have DeWalt xr8 tools. I wanted another combo drill and case and this is ideal for me. The drill is powerful and easy to control the power to drive in screws or for drilling holes. It’s shirt enough to get into spaces my other drills are too long for.     bRILLIANT DRILL

    Bought the dcd796 for home diy adventures .After crunching over a both the 796 / 996 models came to the conclusion its more compact and I feel the 996 would be over kill unless your into heavy everyday construction work i.e builder . It is more than enough to drill into brick and concrete anyway , makes light work of any wood ive tryed it on yet . Rapid compact and Quality feels very comfortable . got a 3 yr warranty that you wont need . bought a top of the line dcf899 impact with 2x xr 5ah batterys in 2017 . I have used it 10-15 times for sepearate jobs on cars most recently a vw gearbox off job . I have never repeat never had to charge the battery in 3 years it still has 2/3 bars battery ...... amazing . Whats more is the other unused battery ive added to this drill sat in its box for ...

    Lightweight yes more power to weigh l am told

    This drill was brought to replace my older drill, as I have not had to use the new drill yet I can only go on looks and feel. Compared with my older Dewalt drill it’s smaller lighter weight has an onboard light. The case which came with the new drill is ideal as the interior is made for this drill which was a good thing for me. Looking forward to using the new drill soon.
