Low cost entry Arduino UNO R3
I bought this specifically for self-education. The board is labelled Made in Italy - but I think this one is actually an exact Chinese built copy, that has taken advantage of the open source nature of the Arduino eco-system. It is actually quite nicely built, and is FCC & CE marked and claims to be ROHS compliant. As a nice touch it is delivered with a short USB A-B cable so you can just plug it in to a laptop, load the software from the internet and you are good to go.
It came pre-loaded with the 'Flash' demo - which confused me for about a minute, but once I figured this out I think this is a good idea as it is a pretty good indication that all is working OK.
I would say that is it almost indistinguishable from the 'real thing' and I am not as scared of blowing this up as I would be of a more expensive 'Genuino'.
