9. CANCELLATION AND RETURN
9.1 Under the conditions outlined in the Distance Selling Regulations, Sounds Great Music operates a 7 day returns policy, which allows UK and EU customers to cancel their order up to 7 days after receipt of their goods. If you wish to cancel your order during this 7-day period, please notify us in writing by letter or by email at email@example.com.
Cost of returns
If you change your mind, you can return your purchase, subject to [Section 9. Cancellation & Returns] in its original condition within 7 days to us for a full refund (minus any costs incurred for the initial dispatching using our express courier and any costs incurred by Sounds Great Music for the returning of the order.
9.2 - The right to return goods to us as mentioned in Section 9.1 does NOT apply in the following situations:
9.2.1 - Conditional Sales - (e.g. goods purchased on a finance agreement) where the consumer is bound to purchase the goods from the outset but do not own the goods until they have fulfilled all conditions of the contract (typically through complete payment of all financial installments).
9.2.2 - Special Orders - Any order which has been specified or customized to the customers specifications. This also includes any item which is not typically stocked by Sounds Great Music and has been ordered in at the request of the customer.
9.2.3 - Health and Safety - any product that has come in contact with a customer's ear or mouth, such as microphones, headphones, earphones or product with a mouthpiece that have been used or where the hygienic seal has been separate or broken.
9.2.4 - Software, Media and CDs - where the packaging has been unsealed (unless the product is faulty) and copyright policies apply, any product registered via digital or physical means becomes immediately exempt for any returns.
9.3 The Buyer shall inspect the Goods immediately upon receipt and shall notify the Seller emailing firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 working days of delivery if the Goods are damaged or do not comply with any of the Contract. If the Buyer fails to do so the Buyer shall be deemed to have accepted the Goods.
9.4 Where a claim of defect or damage is made the Goods shall be returned by the Buyer to the Seller. The Buyer shall be entitled to a full refund (including delivery costs) plus any return postal charges if the Goods are in fact defective.
9.5 If you are a consumer you have the right, in addition to your other rights, to cancel the Contract and receive a refund by informing the Seller emailing email@example.com within 7 working days of receipt of the Goods.
9.6 Goods must be returned by the Buyer and should be adequately insured during the return journey. In the case of faulty goods the Buyer will receive a refund of all monies paid for the Goods (including delivery charges, if any, and return postal charges) within 30 days of cancellation. However, if the Buyer fails to return the Goods following cancellation, the Seller shall be entitled to deduct the cost of recovering the Goods from the Buyer.
9.7 Goods to be returned must clearly show the order number obtained from the Seller on the package.
9.8 Where returned Goods are found to be damaged due to the Buyer’s fault the Buyer will be liable for the cost of remedying such damage.
