Not a bad show not to much graphic details as for blood and gore. They use the same music for all their shows.
Hi everyone... If you are reading this I guess you are interested in this movie.... It is a classic video nasty and that is the reason why you should like it, if this is your bag. Unlike the modern horror it does not get the shocks from hi-tech effects, but from really nasty sick events.... There is a section in the film where a boa kills a real life puppy type animal and this just sets the standard... Yes you will go nooooooooooo, but that is what it is supposed to do..... I love this film as it is disturbing and makes you feel like you've watched something you quite shouldn't have. The best version you can buy is the ultrabit tin which was ltd and are all individual numbered. this version is remastered and UNCUT, and is the best version to date... If you can't find one I may have a spare... The UK VERSION SHOULD BE AVOIDED and has the following cuts. R2 United Kingdom - (Vipco) , 06:06 min of cuts (Distributor pre-cut 6 mins, BBFC requested further 6 secs.) Cuts include (read at your own risk..): - Removing most of the gore footage - All elements of actual cannibalism ie: the cannibals picking at the dead bodies are removed, and when Zora Kerowa is killed, this edited version plays as though she has disappeared, never once showing either the actual event of the aftermath of the famous "hooks through the breasts" death - All but one of the animal deaths are missing, and the death of the pig appears trimmed - Also cut, amongst others, is John Morghen's arm being lopped off - The 2 castration scenes are cut - John Morghen removing a natives eye with a knife is also cut Hope this helps... As you can see from the cuts it must be good!!!!! Cheers for now... MizpolRead full review
Amusing film to watch with friends, one of thoses films you end up laughing, talking and commenting on all the way through it, especially when they wind up sitting in the villagers' huts oblivious that there are a gang of cannibals oustide the door. Other people would just run. I had not read the sellers descripion of the film carefully and ended up with the heavily cut version. Good fun but watch the un-cut version if you want the gore as the cut version contains no cannibal scenes which slightly defeats the title of the film.
Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.
