For the price it's good..
But I have a brand new bike (voodoo) the bars that hold it are just a bit too far for my liking the bike just fits if I dont tighten up the bike straps. I have to move them inwards put bike into place and then move straps into position then strap the bike up (then anchor it into place with the other strap) the bike straps should be tightened with spanner into place but I'm unable to get the bike to fit on then. It's a good bike rack and took the weight no problem but the holding bars are just too far apart for these new bikes. If it was 2/3 inches narrower it would have done me great. It's a good bike but you need to put into consideration the bike frame, it has scratched the paintwork of a brand new bike. I'm a complete novice as you can probably guess and I will be buying a different one ... Strap came unstitched at bracket
Be warned this bike rack is not very good, and was a constant worry while driving with two bikes attatched. I fitted this rack to a Vauxhall Insignia, as pictured. The first problem i encountered, was both my wifes and my bike (mountain bikes) were very tight to fit on the rack. This caused scratches to both bikes frames. Then i noticed the rack scratched the spoiler on the back of my car. The rack did not feel very sturdy with the bikes mounted and after driving for about 30 mins, we started to hear a knocking noise. We pulled over, and one of the straps had came unstitched at the bracket making it unsecure. I managed to tie the bracket back on, but other brackets came loose while driving. It was the most stressful drive of my life in fear of the thing falling off the back of the car. I ...
