the film cradle of fear is a gorey british horror created by cradle of filth ( as most fans already know). this film is an exeptional showing of british talent both in acting and showing hollywood that our horror films can match theirs and plus even on a much lower budget. a great storyline for anyone who loves a good horror and also who likes an easy watching film. camera angles are used in the film wonderfully to create an air of constant suspension and a great climax of gore. acting is generally very strong from all characters (with a few exceptions). the filming itself is very pleasing to the eye thanks to its clarity. music within the film is generally from cradle of filth. being unbaised (although being a heavy fan of cradle of filth), Dani filth has a horrific air and presence on screen bringing goosebumps on a mere stare and creates well a very in depth, bloodthirsty, murderous character. Perhaps not enough speech from Dani but as a fortune cookie i picked up a few months back says "silence is golden and speech is silver". this film is an absolute must to anybody who can handle a movie thats probably on par + in gore with the 'saw' series and an essential for any fan of cradle of filth. i give it overall %85 a must see and can be picked up fairly cheap, my copy was £1.99 P+P free!!!Read full review
I love the British horror film genre, so have been waiting to see this offering for ages. Cradle of Fear is a patchwork effect of stories, interlinked by one continuous story. The acting is hammed up and average at best (which is what I love about British horror!!!). The story is pretty good, I wont spoil the plot, but suffice to say, you tend to wish the victims ill before they finally get 'it', although I was sorry to see the end of British sscream queen Emily Bouffant (Emily Booth) and her twin talents!!! There was an amusing cameo by Stuart Laing (Rob Minter from Eastenders), recognised by my wife I hasten to add... honest Quite a long film too, I found myself more than once looking at the clock, wandering how the story was going to end, but it did, fortunately for me. As far a recommending the film to others, I wouldnt. A poor offering, not following the tradition of classic British horror. 3/10Read full review
