Being a Fuji it comes with that pedigree so you can buy with the confidence that gives. Having had 4 previous(expensive,'fancy') digital cameras, which were lost/stolen,I have now got 3 Fuji 205 all off ebay and the recharge cradle (recommended)and two teenage daughters so no arguing who takes what camera!. The camera is robust, easy to operate, and reliable. Some say slow to operate but I like the two stage switch on process as it prevents accidental turning on and lens motor damage.Using the standard cards which are available, relatively cheap and compatible with all PC and printers you get good results which are good enough for the majority of applications. Purists would say 2Mp is nowadays low but as I'm told the majority of print applications can only handle a level of detail. Downside is the commented 'chunkiness' yes , but you know its there so less likely to lose. The menu can take some working out but is intrinsically simple. One criticism is the irritation of having to reset date every time battery change hence got a recharge cradle, upside is 205 takes bog standard AA batteries if you get carried away with a big xd card! Can only recommend camera as a basic 'can do, will do' no frills piece of kitRead full review
lovely chunky easy to use first camera suitable for children and novice photographers , bought for an 11yr old child and is perfect only bad thing and it is a small thing is it is larger than the modern camera but is well made and strong to take the bangs and bashes i am sure it will get .fuji cameras have always been perfect and i have now bought four fuji cameras for all of my family and will be buying them in the future when and if they need replacing.
A great fairly basic chunky camera. A little slow by compared to newer ones, buteasy to use. I have a Sony digital SLR camera and a thin Sony Cybershot camera. Both were quite expensive and so I don't take them out to parties, the pub etc. in case I loose them. At £20 this camera was a bargain. While I'd still be annoyed if I lost it, I'd not be as annoyed as I would if I lost one of my Sony cameras.
As a cash strapped school this digital camera was bought because of it's value. It is ideal for children to use and very basic...all we need! Bought because- Uses AA bateries (same as our other cameras) Has XD memory card (we need an external memory for easy dowloads on to the network-few 'new' cameras have this now as standard meaning more expense to buy a card) No more than 2mp's resolution (so doesn't fill up the server at school!) Optical zoom A great deal and what E-Bay is all about! Kind regards Steve
great little camera even at 1mp the images are sharp at 2mp it almost matches my 4mp olympus great battery life due to low power xd card and fast start up. zoom is perfect for what you will use it for. only downside is its a little bulky compaired to modern stuff but its by no means big and i picked mine up for less than three quid so you dont need to worry about dropping or loosing it if you dont mind the size buy one at this price you cant go wrong
