This stirring documentary from Hollywood director Frank Capra is one of the films in the WW2 series Why We Fight!, which were made to explain the conflict (then ongoing) to American audiences. The Battle of Russia, made in 1943, when Capra, who joined the Forces, along with many other movie people, was a Lieutenant Colonel, has many amazing real-life battle scenes: when a soldier goes down he's not acting, it's for real. Anyone remotely interested in WW2 - or Russia - will be fascinated.
