Better than original
The cable is a little fiddly to fit, but actually fairly easy. I would suggest you look closely at how the original is routed, maybe take photographs. I found some of the online guides helpful and they made more sense once I had my cleaner apart. The wire in the new harness is if a different type to the original one. I think the new one has silicone insulation and the old one was PVC, so the wires are much more flexible. Perfect Genuine OE replacement
One of the weak points in the Dyson is this yoke harness which tends to break over time. Not an entirely bad job to change, but this vacuum is the most incredible Rube Goldberg plastic contraption I have ever seen! Took me the better part of 3 hours to change and get put back together. I have heard that sometimes it will break shortly after replacement. BE VERY CAREFUL! THERE IS ONLY ONE REPEAT ONLY ONE WAY TO RUN THIS HARNESS! If you deviate AT ALL and do not run it in the prescribed path IT WILL TEAR AND YOU WILL BE DOING IT AGAIN! It MUST go along the designed route or it will break. Take heed. Just the job!
This replacement part is just as described. No issues with quality whatsoever! All i can say is that i do not recommend it being fitted by anyone who has not done similar projects before. Not an easy fix unless you know what's involved.
