Tyre size upto 275, makes it much safer to get standard sized wheels onto. I was apprehensive about using narrow ramps and most wouldn't fit my low clearance bumper.Sturdy, made of some composite material, not just plastic. Parked up level, lined them up under front wheels and tapped them in. The rubber cubes held them in place as I drove gently up them, you can use blocks of wood behind the ramps against a kerb or wall if it is a smooth drive. Not best to use them if tyres or road is wet. Jackstands slid under the control arms and 4 toblerones of firewood behind the back wheels, car parked in gear and handbrake on. Fixed my bumper and undertray, which would of required a long trolley jack otherwise and this felt a lot safer. Seeing as the car parts places sell you narrow ramps that are potentially more dangerous to a novice like me with no spotter, the price is worth it. I might even sell them on to a work colleague, who does more car work.Read full review

These ramps are a plastic moulded design. I bought them for use with a ride on mower to provide a ramp up into a storage shed. The strength of the ramps appears to rely on the structure of the plastic framework which is 'cross braced' underneath with circular cylinders. The whole unit is very light weight and the sides are quite thin. The treads are fairly smooth and don't offer a lot of wheel traction. Basically they are a lightweight plastic moulding and should be more substantial. Five tons? I doubt it. I wish I'd bought metal ones.

Bought these because they are wider than most steel ramps. They are tough and rugged injection moulded plastic, but the mould quality is a but rough, not that that should make much difference to performance. Quite a complex moulding but still seems a lot of money for what is a few Kilograms of Polypropylene. However, they were cheaper than the market average and if you change your own oil will pay for themselves within a couple of oil changes.

Strong but light product, hold the weight of the Range Rover with easy. Like the rubber at the front, stops it from sliding forward. Nice and wide. Easy to stack and store.

Love these ramps, very sturdy and yet lightweight enough to position easily, none of the struggling as with my previous metal ones, and they are of a low enough angle to get my impreza on and off without additional chocking to clear the front bumper. Very impressed, wish I had purchased sooner.
