Humbrol Acrylic spray is, for the most part, fine. It sprays on easily, it colours evenly. It wasn't really right for my project, though. I had been working on a model which hd been largely sprayed with Tamiya spray paint, and the finish had gotten damaged after I had used it all up. I couldn't get any more tamiya at that point, so I decided to respray it all with the same colour of humbrol. The first problem is that it's not actually the same colour, it's about a half shade darker than the Tamiya aluminium spray. The second issue is that it is a very gritty looking spray, the only way to get a smooth finish, I found, is to sand the surface down with ultra-fine sandpaper. It is also far less shiny. The result is that my model now has a rather lacklustre finish to it. I'm going to have to wait for tamiya to get restocked somewhere and buy another can. it's not terrible, it's fine for certain projects, it just wasn't right for mine, and I would say the gritty finish lets it down more generally, which is why I only rated the product 3 stars.Read full review
