Depending what you plan to use it for, it's easy to use. Friendly and fun
As a handy little camera to have when going out anywhere interesting this is perfect. I used it when going down to a red carpet event earlier in the year and it was very useful.
The batteries I power it with are Ni-MH Uniross AA Rechargeable ones which last for about five hours if you're constantly turning it on and off and using the zoom function and if you just leave it to record the battery lasts for an hour.
I tried normal batteries and they barely lasted five minutes.
You will also need a memory card otherwise it won't record. Transcend SDHC 16GB is the type I opted for.
It shoot 720 HD and can also record HD60 which is good for slow motion effects later on in post. You can take photographs with it and also fit a fisheye lens to it.
Obviously it works best in well light conditions. Anything in low-light, for example normal house lighting and there is a grainy quality to the image but for the amateur enthusiast this won't be too much of a problem.
Professionals may wince at the idea.
family entertainment of ease and quality, i wouldn't be without it..
i bought the camcorder because i have 9 grandchildren and wanted to use it for memories, it was the best thing i've ever bought off e-bay and i use it all the time, the grandchildren think they are t.v. stars as it can be put straight on the telly, i would recommend all family's have one, we have hours of fun with ours, the battery lasts for many hours, it is so easy to use you just slide the top button and it instantly records, the picture and sound quality couldn't be any better, and for the money it is an absolute bargain, i rate it as a 5*.
These cameras offer crisp point-and-shoot low-range HD video. They are cheap enough to use in potentially dangerous (for the camera) environments, and I have used them with up to 32Gb SD cards. What they don't do is offer good performance in low light levels (the lens is tiny, so the amount of light getting onto the sensor is limited). All in all, if you see one of these at a good price and need a camera which it won't hurt to lose, then these are for you.
