I've just purchased the Konica Minolta Z20 because am a fan of these older cameras and also for their simplicity to operate even without an instruction manual. Another good thing about these cameras is the fact that they are powered by AA batteries that are available anywhere! Also they are perfectly balanced and fit the hand nicely. The bad is that in almost all these cameras if you are not careful when closing the battery door compartment after inserting the batteries the tabs holding the door shut might break due to the upward pressure exerted by the batteries themselves.. Another thing that this camera lacks is sound in its videos but hey...you can't have everything!! I have all of the Konica Minolta family including the Z1, Z2, Z3, Z5, Z6, Z10 and Z20 being my favorite the Z 3 and Z 6 and my least favorite the Z5 and the Z10.Read full review

I just bought a NEW Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z20. I am a Big fan of these Konica Minolta cameras. I had purchased 2 of them a few years ago and the camera is very lightweight yet Durable- read this as "my kids dropped them quite a few times " The DiMAGE Z20 takes pictures that rival those of some more expensive cameras, the colors are rich and full with nice contrast. These cameras offer you alot of settings and features that i do not use because i am really an ametuer, but it functions as easily as most point and shoots. This camera is also very light when compared to a comparable Kodak camera my friend purchased around the same time. The only shortcoming i found is...the camera does not seem to have audio! That's right, no sound with those video clips. But hey, i got mine to take pictures at football games and track meets. It is a fine choice for under $200Read full review
Man I love this camera. Ive been looking at slr digital for two years. I finally settled down to the resolve that I was only able to afford a used slr. Then thx to Ebay I found a real single lens reflex camera i could afford. I take a lot of close ups of insects and flowers and cameras with a view finder just dont give you the true location to the lens. The dimage works great Im still trying to learn all of the functions on the camera and the functions are pretty easy to figure out. I also like the way that the batteries last so long. I haven changed them yet and I have taken over a hundred pictures I think. It incredibly light weight you can hardly tell that it there at all. I saw the camera on an ebay special, it came with a stand, a battery charger, a carrying case and a one gig card for about two hundred bucks, man that was a steal. I didnt notice that the camera was a refurbished unit after totaly reading the promotion, I got it any way. I have been telling all my friends who need a camera to buy the same package. I will be teaching a digital photography class to high school students I am going to recomend to the students who can afford to buy a digital camera to buy this one. At present I am in costa rica and some time getting things faxes to the states is a problem so my camera doubles as a fax machine with my computer. I am going to try videos next, Man this thing is a godsend. Now heres is the kicker. Ebay asked me to write a review about buying stuff on ebay and gave me a choice of the dimage and another camera. the strange coincidence is that I own booth cameras but I chose the dikage camera, Man I have died and went to camera heaven thanks Ebay.Read full review
These little older Dimages can take some excellent auto macro shots. And for the price now worth every penny. The take great normal pictures too, but I bought this strictly for the Macro lens and focus.
