Almost perfect keycaps; exceeded expectations in every way
I got hooked on mechanical keyboards four or five years ago, own several different models, and have spent an embarrassing amount of money on keycap upgrades -- many of which were a complete disappointment. These PBT caps from Leopold are a refreshing exception. They exceeded my expectations in every way -- quality, fit, uniformity, and appearance. Even the packaging is top notch. They are no frill in the sense that they do not allow LEDs to shine through (except on the lock keys) and the legends are not double-shot -- but I don't care about that because the printing is front-facing, so isn't subject to wear. If you want thick PBT keycaps because of the way they feel and perform, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with these caps, and I can't imagine finding a better quality set even at twice the price. Buy them! Two caveats. First, these ship from Korea, so don't expect to receive them overnight. Second, they are MUCH thicker than the stock keycaps that you'll find on most brand-name keyboards, and this can cause issues with fit. I own a Filco that uses Costar (wire) stabilizers on the wide keys, and the stabilizer touched the inside front edge of one shift key, causing the key to stick. Took me a bit of googling and experimentation to figure that out, but once I did, it was a simple fix. I just took an Xacto knife and shaved off a curl of plastic from the inside from edge of the key. Problem solved. Others suggest using a bit of sandpaper or a rotary tool like a Dremel to grind down the inside front edge a bit. I'm sure that would work as well. Not the fault of the keycaps, really, as they were designed for a board with Cherry stabilizers. Just an FYI.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

One of if not the best PBT Dye-Subliminated Keycap sets in the world!
I highly recommend this keycap set. I've tried over 10 different high quality keycap sets (GMK, JTK, IMsto, Ivan, PMK) and I feel this keycap set is a steal at this price. Out of all the doubleshot and dye subliminated I've tried this is the best I've come across. The step 2 profile which closely resembles cherry profile is amazing to type on, the texture of each keycap is perfect (not to textured, not too soft), and the thickness and cherry stem work is perfect. There's not stabilizer issues nor does my spacebar stick or feel awkward. I hope Leopold starts offering these keysets in different colorways because they have a hit on their hands!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fine, but lacks non-windowed keys
This is stepsculpture2 profile - no scoops on F/J (just homing bars), with a tall spacebar (as on cherry profile). Extras are: 6.25 Leopold spacebar, 1.25 menu key, stepped (centered) CapsLock, Leopold Shift key, and windowed (with an acrylic piece) insert key. Unfortunately ScrollLock and NumLock are windowed too, so it doesn't really go well with Filco or similar keyboards with separate LEDs. Except this, the set is near perfect - non-warped spacebar, no protruding stems or stains - but lacks a couple of non-windowed keys that Filco owners would really like to have.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Thick PBT Keycaps
The keycaps are thick PBT, 1.5mm on my Ducky One Non-Backlit TLK the sound of bottom out is a low pitch thump rather then a high pitch click. These keycaps will not shine through with LED back lighting, these keycaps are best for non-backlit MX style switch keybaords. These keycaps have an extra stepped caps lock key that is a 1.5 unit the same size as the windowed caps lock key. Unfortunately the scroll lock key is also windowed and there is not a spare key that is 1 unit and is windowless in the set to swap the scroll lock out with. I don't look at the scroll lock key ever so this wasn't a deal breaker for me, I did use the stepped caps lock key as opposed to the windowed caps lock key a nice improvement. Great fit for my Novatouch TKL
I just ordered this set based on some Reddit voices. The keys are great quality, prints are as they should be Can't say if it's due to Novatouch switch designs or is it Leopold thing: space is a bit higher than rest of the keys and enter is a little rattly compared to others. PBT totally beat ABS
That was my big question... Is PBT better than ABS? After using it for less than a minute, I was totally convinced that PBT is better. Why not use PBT for all keyboards on the market? You bet.. The price. For the mere mortal, the difference will probably will not be perceived but for a geek like me, the feeling is beautiful. The package is very nice...
