though it lacks the bells and whistles of later, touch screen Harmony remotes, this model worked fine for me. easy to program devices and make commands. you just have to remember you need the DC/PC USB cord, and to save and 'sync' any new settings added online, also, don't forget to push the assigned device button ( like 'DVD', 'aux/VCR' etc) before starting device activities. . Great thing about this is you use regular batteries, so don't have to go hunting online for a $10 rechargeable. Note: certain devices, such as dvd players or dvd recorders that were made by 'sourced out' manufacturers, but sold under well known brand names may not work with this remote, but that is not the fault of the Harmony. Those devices will not respond to same brand remote controls either.

the 300 was the first logitech harmony i had. then after a few years a couple buttons started to stick so i upgraded to the 650. i liked some things about that remote. it had quite a few more features already programmed and available. however, it EATS through batteries, and sometimes it's just too high tech. so, i downgraded back to the harmony 300 and am very happy once again. i think this is the perfect balance of remote. not too high tech, not too low tech, just right.
