Lightweight - good for carrying to external recordings as they are small and easy to carry. I wouldn't use these as a permanent installation. The bracket that attaches to the table is solid. I have had others where the threads strip as soon as you tighten it. All in all, very good for the price and great for portable use

The promo picture shows it holding a studio style condenser microphone but my AE2000 Studio Mic was way too heavy for this light weight cheap product. It probably good value if you have a light weight mic and want a simple set up but not for anything nearing pro use. Also the clamp has a maximum capacity of 46mm which meant it was too small to fit around my work desk. Again probably because its designed for very lightweight use in home office desk type set up. Ok if you want a cheap and light weight solution and if you have a desk top less than 40mm thick.

This takes my rather large (but great) Yetti Blue microphone from my desktop (allowing more space) and rasies it about my monitor. It looks really profesional and people have commented as such. I recommend this sturdy and well built stand. I would buy again from this supplier.

I bought this mic stand as a mobile mount for a webcam, so I knew I would have to make some modifications. Unfortunately, the supplied desk clamp is USELESS (bends out of shape when you tighten it up), and I ordered a couple of sturdier clamps to try as replacements. I'm happy with the setup now (see photo of the decent clamp I ended up using), but only buy this if you're not going to be moving it around much, or if you're prepared to buy the stronger desk clamp separately. The stand itself is absolutely fine, and I was able to affix the webcam using some action cam mounting brackets without problems.

This microphone stand holds a microphone just like you'd expect it to. If you want it to hold a microphone even better, you can take the plastic cradle off and swap it for a better one. To be honest I don't think there's really any other variations on this design out there, it's like a wheel, it doesn't need reinventing because it literally has one task to perform and does it just fine. It can be adjusted easily. It will not work very well upside down, so be sure to attach it to a surface that isn't higher than your head. There really isn't anything else to say, the springs are very springy, the hinges move, the paint has not fallen off and the box it arrives in is economical, although may be misleading to anyone buying it at a retail store as it does try to imply that the contents is a high end mic by clever use of different font sizes and image overlay. However since I'm reviewing a microphone stand it should go without saying that the review does not cover a microphone as well. Once again, this product is an excellent choice for anyone who has a microphone somewhere near or on a table, who would prefer a stand for it. I do not recommend this product to people such as professional live singers who do not have easy access to a table during performances and would benefit more from holding the microphone or utilising a floor stand, of which this is not one. This repositionable microphone arm will likely work just fine for any table related recording or broadcasting scenario.Read full review
