I’ve got the power
My accelerated A500+ worked “pretty well” with the Commodore original power supply. But occasionally, on the first power up after a few weeks of inactivity (I don’t use it every day), the machine would not boot up, just giving a black screen. It WOULD boot on the 2nd try, after I cycled the power switch. It became a little niggle in my mind. People on the English Amiga Board suggested that this might be caused by the power supply...bad caps, flaky old electronics, rogue voltages...something that might not be too bad right now, but could get worse and, eventually, harm the Amiga. So I bought this power supply on eBay. It’s really nice, a bit smaller even than the later black Commodore one, nice and compact. I plugged it in, and my beloved A500+ booted first time into Workbench, no ... My accelerated A500+ worked “pretty well” with the Commodore original power supply. Doesn't look like the pic listed but still an excellent replacement PSU! A must if you're still using a 25+ original one.
I'm very happy with the this replacement PSU. It's a much smaller than the original PSU. In my opinion it's better to get one of these than an old original PSU or recapping your old one. It doesn't look like the one in the advertised Ebay listing though. Unlike one of the other reviews mine does have a red button. I think this is quite important as it make the on / off switch stand out. I can't complain though as I now have peace of mind than my Amiga is getting power from a reliable PSU and not through one that is 25+ years old. I used it on an A600 with a Furia accelerator fitted for hours with no issues.I'm very happy with the this replacement PSU. It's a much smaller than the original PSU. The original psu from the early 90s was getting old so I decided it was time to get a replacement for my Amiga. I decided to order this and so far it has proven to be very reliable. The product is a little smaller and lighter than the original Commodore ones but it does not feel cheap and nasty. £45 however is a little steep, I would say £30 would be a fair price. But beggars cannot be choosers the market is not exactly flooded with new Amiga power supplies! So if you are looking for a replacement for your old power supply give one of these ago, you pay for the luxury of having new, but it will pay dividends in the years to come not having the risk of an old power supply fail and possibly cause damage to your hardware.The original psu from the early 90s was getting old so I decided it was time to get a replacement for my Amiga. I originally bought this to replace my original power supply and it works flawlessly. It's more compact than the original so it takes up less space. I then asked if they could make me a CD32 version, which they kindly did and it works great too

A great psu for the Amiga!!!
At first I was debating getting a old Amiga psu re-conditioned or this and eventually opted for this, and was not disappointed, excellent build quality and works a dream. If your currently debating the same I wouldn’t hesitate, smaller, aesthetically better and a fast service with great customer contact
