All Items are fully tested, photographed, serial numbers recorded and security labels attached prior to dispatch to prevent any attempt of fraud.
We really, really want people to enjoy shopping with us. Below is a list of our terms and conditions so please take a moment to read them so you don’t have any surprised during the process
Please make sure you've paid us within 2 days because that’s when ebay puts your name on our list of people to be put in the naughty corner and we wouldn't want you to be surprised by the receipt of a payment reminder.
We always post next working day after payment is received. If you really, really need something fast, let us know and we will try to get it out asap. If we’re away, we put a note on the top of this page letting you know last posting times and, if an item is on order rather than immediately available, then we put it on the listing. We post items using the service that you select at the time of checkout so, if you didn't select and pay for tracking and insurance, we won't be able to supply you with a tracking number.
We always quote our post costs in advance so that you know what you will pay. Please remember that the cost of posting includes the stamps, the packing material, pens, petrol, etc. We have someone who packs for us and who we consequently, we have to pay so, if you want postage at face value, please feel free to come and be our unpaid packer – you will need to supply your own packing material obviously but we can probably stretch to a cup of tea a day.
The price of posting is fixed when you buy (as is everything else related to the sale). That means that we aren't going to reduce it or increase it. It’s part of your contract.
Please, please, please remember that this auction if in GB£ therefore, this is the only currency we can accept!!!! Except possibly chocolate. The Belgian variety….
Due to the number of items which have gone missing in the post, buyers from Italy, Canada, Germany and Holland who are paying with paypal must take insurance and tracking. This costs an additional £3.50 if the invoice is less than £32.00 and £5.00 if it is more.
We do combine postage. If you buy more than one item from us, please send us a request for an invoice so that we can calculate postage for you. Combining postage doesn't mean that you only need to pay the postage for one item!! Occasionally, we have buyers who invent an amount that they'd like to pay for postage. You are more than welcome to do this but don’t be surprised when we refund the payment to you and insist you pay the correct amount!!
Because of the requirements of having a package properly insured and the weight limits for some services, particularly international, it is sometimes cheaper to have items sent separately and, if that is the case, we will let you know.
Items lost in the post……
We sell a lot of items and, inevitably, the odd one goes missing in the post. For UK deliveries, you must leave 15 working days from the date of posting before an item will be considered lost rather than delayed. The time period for international deliveries is 30 working days. If, after that time, your item isn’t with you, let us know and we will do our utmost to sort it out. If you have paid for insurance, this will involve us making a claim and doing a refund directly to you and, if you declined insurance, we will make the certificate of posting available to you so you can make the claim yourself. If we make the claim, the refund will be provided after we receive the refund from Royal Mail. This is because they write to the intended recipient for confirmation that the item didn't arrive and until they get that confirmation, they won't refund us. We've recently had a few too many people who, having received their refund in advance, haven't bothered to reply to Royal Mail which means we can't get a refund. Royal Mail are pretty quick at doing the refunds once they have received confirmation from the recipient so this way, you are more in control of how long it takes to get your refund.
Items damaged in the post……
We sell a lot of items and, inevitably, the odd one gets damaged. this is beyond our control we always pack items with more than the recommended packaging material to ensure they arrive safely. We will not be held responsible for any item damaged in the post..
Please check the description for any items that may be included with the main item, If it is not mentioned then assume it is not included.
Laptops do not come with chargers, recovery disc’s, carry cases or manuals unless stated in the listing.
No guarantee is given to the life of batteries unless new.
Items sold as tested and working come with a 90 day peace of mind warranty. Should the item fail within the first 90 days after delivery we will repair or replace the item with one of similar value. The warranty does not cover any software or software related problems, Consumable items including batteries are not included.
Any physical damage either deliberate or accidental is not covered.
Tamper proof warranty VOID labels are used to prevent fraud. Any labels removed or tampered with will VOID all warranties.
Item sold as "spares or repair" or "untested" are such and no warranty is implied or given.
If we significantly mis-describe and item, we will happily accept it back and either repair, replace or refund you (see warranty). We will refund the postage cost to send it to you but not for you to return it to us.
If you want a courtesy refund then that is fine too but, it won’t include postage and will be subject to a 10% restocking fee (again, it’s that stupid requirement that we have to pay people to work for us). We do also ask that you leave positive feedback for us before we do a courtesy refund as we've recently had a few not entirely scrupulous buyers try to blackmail us with feedback and, without blowing our own trumpet, we do think that giving refunds when we're under no obligation to do so does kind of merit a positive. You need to let us know that you want to return something within 7 days by email or by post though – we run a tight ship here! We do not give refunds under any circumstances without the item being returned to us.
Please don’t do what we see happen occasionally and invent silly excuses to return a perfectly good item to us – that’s just mean and makes us feel fairly uncooperative when we are normally all happiness and light and as accommodating as possible.
We always reciprocate feedback. When we buy stuff we leave feedback straight away but when we sell, we prefer to wait until feedback has been left for us (so we know the transaction is done and dusted). We always try to treat our buyers nicely but it makes us a little cross to get a negative or neutral with no contact. If we know there is a problem then we’ll try to sort it out but, if you don’t tell us, we can't really do much. Consequently, if you ignore ebay’s ‘are you sure you’ve contacted the seller to resolve’ message prior to leaving anything other than positive feedback, there’s a fair chance you'll be getting a negative or a neutral back. Not because we're mean but because it won’t have been a very positive experience for us either.
