I bought these to help in recycling pallet wood into other garden/allotment furniture. They have great reach and strength. I have tried using some more readily available clamps (Irwin and Aldi) that have some plastic parts. They break under the pressure I use to glue some parts of the wood together. G clamps are great but the jaw sizes available are limited. These sash clamps extend as far as I need (bear in mind you can get bigger or smaller sizes), and the grip - with them being ALL metal is just great. In fact care is needed in not deforming the wood the pressure. Can't recommend the simple, sturdy design highly enough.

I found the cramps easy to use, they have a long rang on the thread match that with the spacing of the holes gives them a good adjustment, but I did find the pins a bit of a problem ( they kept falling out ) but sone got that under control,, over all very pleased.
