Author Biography
Traditional food chef, international speaker, writer, trainer, and native Englander, Tina Jesson, moved to Indianapolis from the Derbyshire region of England in 2008, when her husband was relocated to Indianapolis with Rolls Royce Aero Engines. Finding that the people she met in Indianapolis were 'real foodies' and appreciated some of her home cooked English food and vintage tea party & afternoon tea fare, in 2011 Tina launched Tina's Traditional Old English Kitchen, a catering company that specializes in classic and elegant tea party events and afternoon tea. Tina has been cooking traditional British cuisine for over 20 years, learning the skill of English farm house cooking from 3 generations of family cooks while growing up in England. A trained educator she offers Cooking & Food Preparation classes, classes in British Table Etiquette, workshops in Tea Tastings and is a sought after speaker on the History of Tea, The Real Life and Time of Down Abbey and the Health Benefits of Tea. Tina is a regular chef on the IndyStyle TV show and you may have seen her featured in the Indy Star. Tina established her first English Tea Room in a beautiful period property in Carmel, Indiana, where she serves traditional English afternoon teas in a relaxed environment where service is excellent and nothing is too much trouble.
