I got Ubuntu just to give it a try. I have used windows for along time and to be truthful I was sick of it. A friend of mine said try Linux so that's how it started. It installed quickly and updated as it went. It doesn't need antivirus and is quicker than Windows 10. I found my way around the new OS without much trouble. No down side as yet as there is a software programme/app for all my needs up to now. I like it.

I ordered this as it is a newer version than the one I am using. I have not yet installed it as my Ubuntu 1604 version is still supported. As a result I have used it only in 'live disc' mode as yet but it works fine so I have no reason to suppose installing it will be a problem when the time comes.

Linux has come a long way since I tried it last, a few years ago. This was easy to install and worked perfectly. There is plenty of online help and forums abound. I have it dual booting on two laptops, one running Win 7, the other Win 10. However, my main computer is a Mac and I can’t see Linux ever being as good as OSX.
