This is the second of these I bought, the first one had a faulty switch and a tendency to switch off several times before it would stay on, it would also be temperamental about whether it wanted to heat the water or not. This one, so far, is fine, it does what is should. Not quite the quality of the original (2008) Morphy Richards ones but I accept that things have changed since then. It heats water quickly, enough for a standard to large sized mug, if you put a little too much water in it will drip out before you switch it on. One thing to be aware of, with these and the MR ones is that you need to drain it by tipping out any water from time to time and especially if you descale it, as it does retain water in the reservoir which builds up after a few uses. I always tip it out several times during the cleaning process to ensure no chemicals are left behind. I use it as a bedside teasmade type of thing and so a handle on top would have helped but i have to say it's fast boiling one minute and you have a very hot cuppa of whatever you like. It feels very well made plastic, it came with a uk plug also it's very easy to measure the amount of water it takes. All you have to do is fill your cup with the amount of water you need and pour it into the top which lifts up and thats it.

Great little kettle, boils quickly, compact and stylish in shape. No set dispense, so if using a large cup, or small cup, put in the amount of water required, and that is the amount dispensed. Only downside is drip tray is very shallow.
