Good practical phone
Gave it 4 stars because it's good not perfect. Bought this phone for mom for its simplicity and ease of use. It's user friendly for the elderly or those who doesn't need a smartphone. It has a nice big screen and stylish keypad for a basic phone. Other similar basic phones tends to be thicker and heavier with a smaller screen. This phone has a slim build even closed and lighter to hold. Very easy to setup out of the box and simple to transfer names and numbers. Also easy to activate service with service provider (Verizon). Samsung Smooth cell phones are for museums
I had one of these phones for years and it did everything I needed until my cat dropped it into his water bowl. Verizon refused to activate my new, replacement, Samsung Smooth phone. I presume that was because it's a 2G model. It's electronic design is at least fifteen years old. I switched to Consumer Cellular (it's cheaper), and bought one of their "Link" phones for $30 (new).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great little phone but may be outdated in 2020 when service is cut off to 3G
We're not Smart phone users. Retired and on a budget. Bought this to replace the same phone that died in the washing machine. We have an old pre-paid minutes plan with Verizon, which is no longer available. They couldn't switch our old plan over to this new phone at the Verizon store. Then we called customer service. They finally agreed to switch so we could keep our pre-paid dollar amount, and keep on adding dollars to this phone. But that is not their policy. They wanted us to upgrade to a newer, more expensive monthly plan. As for the phone, we really like the size of this phone. Hard to find a small, smooth, flip phone. Works fine for talking. It's an emergency phone. So we're happy. (Texting is a pain.) But when Verizon discontinues 3G service, this phone may no longer work. We've gotten conflicting replies about this from several different employees. Great phone, just sorry that the pre-pay minutes plan is no longer available for new users. Their cheapest plan is $30 a month now. We average about $6 a month with our old plan (we don't talk a lot). That's why they want to switch us over. SAMSUNG SMOOTH SCH-350 - BLUE(Verizon) Cellular Phone
These phones are 13 years old and do not have chips in them. You can password protect them and they do take pictures and videos. Battery life is excellent and they are simple to operate. Highly recommended for people who just want a phone without all the bells and whistles. They are indestructible. I washed mine twice and it came back to life twice. The second time the displays went dead but the phone still made and received calls. They are much smaller than a modern phone and more comfortable in your pocket. "Best flip phone I ever own,"
LG Exalt VN360 is just what I was looking for in a flip phone. When all you need to do is make a phone call, it has a big lighted keypad for adult fingers and older person vision. It is nice to have the front display for time and if you like to play music. The speaker phone is loud enough especially for people like me who don't like holding the phone on side of head. I have also used the blue tooth feature to upload my contacts from the other phone; it was a breeze. The camera is quite good; I've used it outside and the pictures had good color and light. I also love the micro SD feature that I store extra music and pictures. If you have it in your plan, you can go online and handle your business; this is not a feature I use on the phone but still good to have. It has a nice large display so you can see what you are doing. What else do you need? Nice phone in good size with big keypad is what I was looking for and I can put it in my small purse and go. It is quite shiny and slippery; dropped it several times before I got use to it but phone did find. Unfortunately, I had to buy several different phones before I picked this one. This is my second Exalt - I washed the first one!. This is my favorite flip phone I've ever owned. I like carrying my phone in my front pants pocket and the Exalt is very thin. I also like that it is longer than most flip phones which is more comfortable to hold to my head while talking. The numbers are large and easy to read, the call clarity is very good, the camera is good for a flip phone, and the battery life is excellent. It is a basic, no frills, easy to use phone. The only thing I don't like, but can live with is, the phone is hard to open using one hand compared to most other flip phones. This is because the Exalt is so thin! Very thin and lite. Sound could be better but overall good. Had to enable roaming to activate and setup pre-pay service but eventually did get it to work. Camera better than expected.
