This version of Wuthering Heights starring Orla Brady (Cathy), Robert Cavanah (Heathcliff) and Sarah Smart (Catherine Linton) is, in my opinion, the best version by far. It sticks to the book in the main whereas in some versions the plot can become a little confusing. For example wondering which offspring belongs to which parent et cetera after Heathcliff's return to the Heights and Hindley's demise, especially if one has had a short lapse of concentration along the way. Not so in this version and the plot runs smoothly from beginning to end. There are both older and newer versions of this classic and with the possible exception of the earliest version starring Sir Lawrence Olivier (but for different reasons) my favourite has got to be this one.
