All my "yes"s to would I recommend, is it good value, good quality, are tentative yeses. It did feel/look like good quality, but it failed to remove the inner trackrod on my 2005 Volvo XC90. I borrowed a very similar tool from a garage, and had it off in seconds. I used this ebay tool to then tighten up the replacement trackrod, and that worked fine. I think the problem was that the original inner track rod was not a "hex", but an "oct" sided end. The way these things work are there are 3 contact points on a sort of cam that tighten as you apply pressure, unfortunately as I had 8 flats one of the contact points would slip off. I think the reason the professional tool worked (it also had 3 contact points) was that the "cam" was more pronounced and over a greater arc of movement, than this ebay one. My replacement inner trackrod had a more normal 6 flat hex end, and so I think that's why the ebay one was happier when tightening up the replacement. So in summary, it may well work for you if you have a 6 flat hex on your inner trackrod, but if it is more rounded one or 8 flat "hex", then this may not be the tool for you.Read full review

Though the tool probably works for a lot of people, I was in a situation where the track rod I was removing was too large for the 30-35mm adapter, but then the 35-40mm didn't fit tightly enough round it causing the tool to slip rather than unscrew the track rod. Not good for anyone requiring a high precision tool.
