Bought this couple months back. Was working as intended until today where the leads broken from the wire. I was testing voltages on my car and was getting no reading until I saw the cables broke from the plastic bit where it connects to the metal rods. Please see pictures. Advice for buyers is keep the rods from twisting too much or it will wear and tear the wires inside and break off.

Its an 'el cheepo' little meter with a very good performance. Simple to use, robust, and easy to see on a crowded bench its more than good enough for all but precision work and cheap enough to throw away if it ever does go wrong. Mine hasn't yet and shows no sign of doing so.

Just purchased this as I need to identify the 12 volt system on my boat and also need to understand what is live and not. Scoured the web to find a suitable item but then came across this. For the money you pay, you will not get any better, it really is superb and works extremely well. I have bought a few of these test meters over the years, they have helped me greatly with car battery faults/tests/,so useful in i now have 3 of them on the go,Garage/Workshop/indoors for testing small batteries in cameras etc...not a day goes by without using one somewhere.!!
