Check Your Requirement Before You Buy
I was looking for a chain saw that could cope with cutting through the stems of a privet hedge, some were up to 4" in diameter others just stwigs. The machine itself looks and appears well made and robust and whilst refurbished, for me it was really good value. On arrival I found the oil resevoir drained unfortunately all over the instruction manual, but on the positive, it was also supplied with a spare chain. In operation it it is light and easy to handle, but simply could not cope with the larger stems, and so I had to resort to a hand saw to deal, it also over heated very quickly and consumed the oil at a very quick rate. Overall I am disappointed and would say, if this was for trimming small branches then fine but otherwise buy or hire a petrol version with a blade and moor able to copeVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Fantastic saw for the price.
I read many reviews about this product and saw hardly any negative ones. I am lopping back the main thick branches on several trees and it makes very short work of it and the subsequent chopping up. Good value worked like a dream
Performed well out of the box . Make sure to fill the oil resevoir BEFORE using and keep checking and refilling if used for prolonged time . Went through large diameter oak branches ,some 18 inches in diameter ,very well . Softer wood just melted before the chain . Very pleased with this purchase . Well worth it, dont expect to cut massive trees, but smaller ones beware.
For the money I paid its is Well worth it, I did some serious damage to the Persistently growing large bush at the top of my garden. It cut through some large trunks, and now I can see the garage wall for the first time in ages. I was a little over keen and knocked the chain off, but I figured out how it went on and back in working order. You must wear the full head gear with the ear defenders as the saw is quite noisy and uses the oil up quickly so keep a container with Chain saw oil spare and handy. As far as I have used the saw it works a treat but time will tell and how you use it. Don't expect to cut down a Massive tree but smaller ones stand no chance.
