Awesome AV Receiver with great sound
The Pioneer VSX-1131 is a great AV Receiver, it's straight forward on set-up, with an easy to use Manual. The sound is great, as good as receivers that cost much more. A great buy. I recommend it.
While I found this product fairly easy to hook up, there were/are some issues with it. I have a TCL 4K model #55S405 Roku TV 7105X, and when trying to hook up the receiver using ARC, the audio portion would not come through while using the streaming channels on the TV. I was told by Onkyo tech support that I had to obtain an E-HDMI cable for it to work right. Absolutely nothing like this is stated in either the manual that comes with the unit, or on the Pioneer website. I even purchased an optical cable and hooked up that, to no avail. Finally, I turned off the ARC, and it worked fine, but it took me a couple of days trying every combination to get it to work right. Also, the Bluetooth hook up is far less than stellar, as it continuously sounds like it is buffering when I connect either my PC or phone to it, and they are less than 10 feet away in direct visual contact. Also, I wish I could directly load my Napster/Rhapsody account straight to my receiver.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great sound
Setup was relatively easy, excellent a/v quality. Would prefer is all hdmi jacks possessed hdcp 2.2 tech instead of being relegated to the two outputs and three inputs. Overall it's a receiver that performs and pretty routine to install. The bass is out of control, actually turned off extra bass feature. Great receiver
Great sound. This is one of a few receivers that has legacy inputs at this price range. I can play vonyl, cassette, or stream music. The dolby seems to work great although. I've mostly been listening to music. I'm haven't tried the network connections yet, but I will. There's a little of a learning curve with all the sound and speaker configurations. For output I'm I have two sets of Dayton T652-Air speakers. The sound is fabulous and enough power to blow the neighbor's roof off! At $230.00 can't go wrong.

Awesome AVR!
Sounds phenomenal I've always liked Pioneer I still have my Pioneer VSX-818 and it still works perfectly fine... But I do love my new Pioneer VSX-1131 because it sounds really good and I like the Wi-Fi Bluetooth Chromecast and the Dolby Atmos which my old receiver didn't have all of these options! great sound
Awesome receiver the price. Great sound quality. I am not a stereo expert but a friend is, and he said to be sure to download the apps. The apps make this receiver very easy to use and understand. My only concern with this receiver and all receivers is to be sure it doesnt overheat. Use a cooling fan or leave in the open where heat can dissipate. I initially set this up with just 2 front towers then added the center and 2 rears. The receiver automatically detected the additional speakers.
