I spent a while searching for a micro-cut shredder and opted for this one even though it costs more then some other micro-cut shredder out, there but i'm glad i did. It's design is simple, and fairly plain, without warning labels written all of it which i quite like and it has a piano black top surface. There's a single switch to turn it on and a flap that covers the shredding inlet, which can be pushed left or right depending which way the shredders facing to get the paper in. If your shredding cards, you just drop it straight through a smaller slot in the center of the flap. The size of the shredded paper is definitely small enough to be secure, it also works fairly quickly and quietly. It does the same with any credit cards and completely destroys them. The guidance says 8 sheets only, but it really depends on the paper thickness. I mostly shred around 70-90gsm paper and it has no problem with say 5 sheets at time, but i don't go over that just to avoid blocking it. I only really have two minor criticisms, first that the glossy top of the shredder gets a bit dusty. The second one being that if you doing a lot of shredding on reguler basis you might find that the paper bin is a bit small and fills up quickly. All in all a great shredder, and worth spending a little extra for the design and quality and reliability.Read full review

This machine has a sturdy mechanism which effectively reduces paper to confetti sized pieces. It's not noisy, though it is only designed for modest daily use, not continuous operation. This is clearly explained in the instructions. It's weakest point is in the construction of the base, which is somewhat flimsy. I bought one with a broken base and effected a repair for myself and paid accordingly. Nevertheless it's one of the more 'secure' shredders, to DIN 4 standard, so unless you've goverment secrets to destroy I think it represents a good choice and is good value for money.

ge bin, with safety functionsI wasted a lot of time and money on cheap shredders in the past! So I decided that I was going to spend a little more and get one that did the job properly! After some research! I decided to opt for a micro cut! As aposed to a strip cut or cross cut!! And I can recommend this machine as A security wise! It ticks all the boxes and B this model has a very large waste bin aposed to others in its price range! It's safe to use and in my opinion very quiet! Compared to others! Only POSSIBLE issue may be?? It dose not shred Cd's this is not an issue for me! It dose what I need quickly and quietly with a credit card slot and large waste bin! (I DO RECOMEND EVERY FEW TIMES THE BIN IS EMPTIED! TO LUBRICATE THE CUTTERS USING PRE OILED PAPER TO KEEP IT IN TOP CONDITION AND QUITE!! )Read full review

Excellent shredder for home or office to confidently protect your information. I have had cheap shredders before but decided to treat myself, and found this little gem of a bargain, worth every penny and more. It is sleek and tidy and stands 47x21x34cm on casters, and tucks away neatly under my desk when not in use. I only shred 2 or 3 sheets at a time, but they fly through quietly, and I have not had a problem with overheating. The Credit Cards are totally disintegrated. The bin drawer is easy to remove and empty, no fiddly process, and there is a LED light that tells you when it is full. Highly recommended, and I am now looking out for another one for my parents.
