The G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra action figure depicts the character Snake Eyes as he appeared in the “Rise of the Cobra” movie. Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Snake Eyes City Strike Movie: Rise of Cobra Action Figure is dressed almost totally in black, like a Ninja or a stealthy commando. His uniform has several accents of gray on his kneepads, boots and gloves. Snake Eye’s visor is built into his mask, totally obscuring his face. In his original packaging the Snake Eye’s label states that this is the “City Strike” version of the toy. Snake Eyes is an enduring character from the G.I. Joe Real American Heroes series. He is one of the original action figure toys and was introduced in 1982. Snake Eyes has been popular from the beginning of the series and had a 25th anniversary version of the character released as a commando in 2007. The G.I. Joe Snake Eyes character has a complicated relationship with a number of characters in the Real American Heroes series of toys. These characters included Hard Master, Colonel Hawk, Stalker, his friend Storm Shadow and the Arashikage Clan. Snake Eyes has even been romantically linked to one of his team members; Scarlet. Snake Eyes and the entire G.I. Joe Team are resolute in their fight against COBRA and its’ leader COBRA Commander. Snake Eye’s weapon of choice is the Ninja-type sword and sheath, both of which are included in the original package. In addition to his black draped uniform, Snake Eyes comes with a variety of other weapons, including a G36K carbine, a pistol, a knife, and a MP9 sub-machine gun. Snake Eye’s sword-brother Storm Shadow and his family, the Arashikage Clan, assist the character in honing his combat skills in a secluded mountain retreat. The G.I. Joe Marvel Comics Series often feature Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and the Scarlet characters as well as the entire G.I. Joe team in their comics line. The G.I. Joe Marvel Comics Series, published by IDW Publishing, features a complex story line that includes the reason for Snake Eye’s mask, what COBRA does to Storm Shadow, and the final romantic status of Snake-Eyes and Scarlet. All of the action figures of Snake-Eyes feature additional weapons to engage in retaliation against COBRA. G.I. Joe Snake-Eyes figures have clawed shoes and two backpacks. One backpack includes a functional mechanism for Snake-Eyes to rappel in and out of COBRA enemy territory. Snake-Eyes can carry a variety of weapons in each pack to assist fellow team members such as his comrade Storm Shadow. In the G.I. Joes Real American Heroes Series, the figures of Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes are friends until the very end. The G.I. Joe Snake-Eyes City Strike Movie: Rise of Cobra Action Figure is 3 3/4-inches tall. G.I. Joe Snake-Eyes is made of sturdy plastic and is recommended for children age four and up. G.I.
