Brilliant budget motherboard while keeping old school
Pros: I love the Aura lighting (bit of a gimmick) and the overall build quality the mobo is fairly quick and better at playing games. I am using the FX 9370 cpu it was not recommended because of 220watt. But I am using a complete custom built water cooling loop I have a 140 mm rad between the gpu`s and a 360mm rad after CPU. The overall median temp is 31 degrees. I have 32GB ddr 3 vengeance (2400)Hz noting is overclocked I have linked the led lighting system with core temp so its a quick visual indication of the temps. I very much like the on board water pump connector makes life so much easier. Cons: I liked the older mobo Crosshair v formula z I feel it was a better board (hence the Price) It was getting a bit outdated but i did like the led fault code, the clear cmos switch on the back and the way you could operate the system from the mobo it`s self, I wish these were Incorporated on the Asus 970 mobo another feature i liked about the older board that all the front headers the reset sw, HD led and other connector's from the front of the PC, you could fit them all into custom block which can be connected prior to fitting the MOBO into the case, makes life so much easier. I feel that if these items were Incorporated the board would be perfect for someone like me. I bought the FX 9370 over a year ago and with the 32GB of ram that i all ready had which is why I stayed with the older platform of AMID+ and not switch to the Ryzen all came down to price. It's the bomb
Well I was gaming on a m5a78l/usb3 and I was having really bad lag :( so I thought i'd upgrade to one of these straight out the box brand new it looked amazing plugging it all in was ok not to hard when you know what your doing it looked good but switching it on at the wall it was like I found my pot of gold it glowed like a rainbow sweet and let me just say installing all the right drivers is well worth it I loaded my game got online and hey NO LAG I was running round like Rambo killing everyone for a change instead of dieing so thanks peepsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best Board For AM3+
Without a doubt this is the BEST board for the AMD platform, ive tried loads of different brands MSI being the worst, this board is a beautiful looker and performer, even though its a 970 chipset it outperforms most 990fx chipsets of other brands. This refresh from ASUS is a welcome addition, theres nothing i dont like about this board, it is rock solid, and looks impossibly pretty with Crucial Tactical Tracer LED RAM, mines installed in the areocool aero800 white case.
