Sounds better than it fits
Took about 3 hours to fit due to rusted nuts on the original back box. Don't bother with new rubber hangers as the originals will be fine. This box came with nuts, bolts and gasket. Pros : Looks and sounds great. Fruity note without sounding tacky. It's sings like a sports car and doesn't drone when cruising. Welds looks excellent and the polishing is beautiful (although pointless as it's hidden under the car. Cons: The fit isn't as good as the original. The hangers are not in the right place so it hangs awkwardly. I had to pack the tail trims away from the rear bumper before tightening the flange. Otherwise, it would touch the plastic and melt/vibrate. The pros do outweigh the cons. The value for money is good and it's breathing some fresh life into a 12 year old car.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Exhaust, Very Happy
I bought this back box wanting something that wasn’t loud and obnoxious, but instead subtle and refined. I am very pleased with the result, although I was a little skeptical to begin with as it is initially louder than I’d imagined, especially in the lower rev range. However after driving it a couple of hundred miles, it’s already calming down. It’s worth noting that this exhaust doesn’t drone on the motorway at all. The build quality and finish of the back box is fantastic, it’s a shame that you have to hide it under the car really. Also as it’s so much smaller than the original box, you can’t even see it if you bend over, it’s completely hidden by the rear bumper. The tail pipes look great, it finishes the rear end off nicely, much better than stock pipes. A previous review mentioned that the tail pipes weren’t quite centered in the middle of the bumper gaps, but neither were the original pipes (well not on mine anyway), and you don’t notice unless you’re really looking for it. Fitting the new box was a doddle, unlike getting the old one off (Used a fair amount of WD40 and an equal amount of elbow grease to slip those rubber hangers off the car). I attached all 4 of the rubber hangers onto the new back box before offering it up to the car. It’s easiest if you attach the 2 lighter weight foam/rubber hangers to the car to hold it in place before trying to get the bigger heavy duty hangers on. The flange on the back box doesn’t have welded studs to line up to the midpipe (unlike the standard back box) so the bolts can go in last, after you’ve hung the box nicely. It’s worth pointing out that Moss sent out a pair of bolts and an exhaust gasket with the back box. The new back box will smell a bit whilst it breaks in, nothing to worry about. Just get out there and enjoy the sound and the look of your MX5! :)

Very good for the money
Nice looking exhaust Pretty accurate with the holes in the bumper I could be fussy and say there a little close together for a 3.75 bumper but nothing to worry about General fitting was an easy job everything lined up great and sealed up no worries job was done on my back in my drive ,might I suggest the reviewer who had problems fitting it take your car to someone who is competent as they were not if you had so much trouble Sound wise it’s better than stock but does have a bit of booming in the car with the roof up but it’s only in a certain rev under hard acceleration nothing again you would remove the box for All in all I would buy again and I would recommend it As for longevity only time will tell

Nice exhaust.
I bought this exhaust knowing that it wouldn't be much louder than a standard back box, but that is exactly what i wanted as I'll be installing a decat manifold soon and don't want it to be too loud. The quality and look of the exhaust is excellent and it only took me an hour to install.
