Not perfect, but better than expected.
I need to tow a lot of different trailers with varying heights with my 4x4, and this drop plate makes it much easier. Also, if a trailer hitch becomes stuck on, it's easy enough to simply separate the two parts of the drop plate, releasing the pressure on the hitch - much better than lifting the draw bar up with a tractor or jacking it up! It's good, solid steel with good welds, and I'm sure that it will last and last. The only downside is the very poor foldover securing pins that are supposed to lock the horizontal rods into position, they are simply not up to the job. One of them fell out whilst towing and I was lucky not to lose thte horizontal rod. Easily and cheaply fixed by getting some proper ones.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good quality but fit not quite right.
It does not quite fit the Discovery 1. The top corners had to be ground down to make it fit, hence only 4 stars. On the plus side, the securing clips hold the pins in place are of a much better design and much easier to use than the traditional R clips.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
